![]() Now we have a mail merge document that's ready to accept data and crank out a bundle of pages with custom data and maps. If the spreadsheet has "Senate" for house_or_senate and "22" for house_or_senate_district_number, it'll look for "Senate22.jpg" ![]() It'll look for these images in the same directory that the Word document is in (which is the same directory that the Excel spreadsheet is in). What the above statement will do is put a picture in whose name matches what's in the "house_or_senate" cell in the spreadsheet, immediately followed by what's in the the house_or_senate_district_number cell, immediately followed by ".jpg". Ultimately, the placeholder in the Word document ended up looking like this: I had to drag and drop them in from the Mail Merge Manager tray of placeholders.
